MEET THE HARPERS

Serving in mozambique for over 25 years

MARK AND LES

Mark and Les Harper have been faithfully serving the communities in Mozambique and spreading the message of the gospel since 1996. They are the pround parents of two boys, Charles and Michael and grandparents of Nathan and Ian. The Harpers are currently serving as the national leaders for Pro•Vision in Mozambique.

PROJECT PROFILE

Having established the ministry in Maputo, they negotiated a portion of government land near the town of Xai Xai for the purpose of building a training centre.

The completed and well-equipped Bethel Centre has ministered to hundreds of youths, pastors, teachers, care givers and mentors who have passed through the courses presented by Mark and Les, impacting thousands of lives, ministries and communities.

Later the Harpers transitioned to service in Pro•Vision International, a missionary support and community development agency based in White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa. Today they lead this mentoring ministry in Mozambique.

They travel the length and breadth of Mozambique, preaching and teaching in remote villages, showing the Jesus film, leading disaster relief, distributing handheld solar charged audio Bibles, and mentoring and encouraging local church pastors.

PROJECT NEEDS

The Harpers work in Mozambique covers 28 projects  in the seven provinces supporting families and people running into the thousands. The projects are underpinned by more that a 100 volunteers

The extent of the projects cover from building infrastructure to education, from feeding schemes to mentoring, from water supply to missionary work.

The needs constantly vary from building material to food from boreholes to educational material, from seeds for planting to new vehicle repair and new vehicles.
